My recent visit to Bristol at the Porch was an absolute delight! Nestled in the heart of the Plains in Virginia, this charming eatery exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. Our culinary journey began with the Macaroni & Cheese with pork belly appetizer, a true testament to the chef's creativity and expertise. The combination of creamy macaroni and succulent pork belly was simply divine, leaving our taste buds craving for more. It was a unique twist on a classic dish that instantly won us over. To complement our appetizer, we indulged in a couple refreshing Manhattan cocktails expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. It provided the ideal prelude to our main course, which showcased the restaurant's dedication to fresh quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. For lunch, we savored the house steak salad, fresh and vibrant, followed by the shaved ribeye steak & cheese. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with tender ribeye perfectly paired with gooey cheese, all nestled within a crisp roll. It was a delicious to say the least. Despite its petite size, the ambiance of Bistro at the Porch exuded charm and character, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely Friday afternoon. The intimate setting, coupled with the friendly and accommodating service from our waitress, further enhanced our dining experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone seeking an short adventure out West in Northern Virginia. Not only will you be treated to small town Charm I'm sure you will enjoy the exceptional food and service, you'll also be supporting the vibrant tapestry of small-town eateries that make our communities thrive. I was feeling fancy-ish, so I stopped in looking to try a place I'd long had my eye on but hadn't had a chance to try. Many have noted that parking isn't easy, but personally I disagree. It's on a long street and I didn't have any problem with street parking. That seems the norm in this town anyway. I ordered the duck and a glass of pinot; it was a great combination. As I waited for my meal I saw what seemed to be a number of locals who were stopping in to get take-out. That only happens to places where the food is good, so I knew I was off to a good start. Eventually the dish came and I was quite happy with it. Not wanting to stop there, I asked for dessert recommendations and settled on gram cracker topped cheesecake. The prices are above average, but then again that's standard for this town so there shouldn't be any surprises there. But the quality was above average so I thought it was an even deal.

Not sure what all the fuzz is about this place. First of all, they need to do something about their parking! There's no parking for this place and all the other parking spots have signs that say "NOT for Front Porch" customers or something like along those lines... Now let's focus on the actual place. It's just ok. Not bad, not good just in between. Doesn't have a very inviting cozy look or vibe on the inside so we sat outside. Got the tomato soup, pretty good. Boyfriend got the burger. He did not like it. He said the bacon and bacon jelly were not good. $56 for a soup, a burger and 2 glasses of wine. Not sure it's worth the price.

My friends and I visited Front Porch for the first time and had a fantastic experience! From the warm environment, to the delicious food, to the fun and friendly service-Great job Marty! (Even though we asked for you to repeat the special a "few" times haha... I had the meatballs which were superb. The tomato soup is a thing of beauty and everyone was happy with their choices which also included (pork belly salad, wedge salad, and the special prime rib. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

This was our second trip Front Porch and the one place consistently recommended to us by locals for a bite to eat. We brought our pup and we're welcomed onto their side porch which made for excellent people watching in the main downtown area. The burrata appetizer was well portioned and certainly made for sharing. If getting solo, it could make a meal on its own. For sandwiches we have tried the Turkey Brie burger, the Cuban and their Mahi Special. All were exceptional but the Turkey Brie was the consistent favorite. It's served with some of the best slaw I've tasted- corn adds an amazing flavor. Our waiter-Mikey was so helpful and remembered us from our first stop in. We can't wait to return on future antique hunting trips.
